Piano Lessons
with Ella Kromin
I was born and raised in a family of professional musicians. My mother is a pianist and my father is a clarinetist. I started piano lessons when I was four years old. My whole life is connected with music; this includes playing, singing, and conducting. Against this rich musical background, I graduated from the famous Odessa State Conservatory, in Ukraine, with degrees in choir conducting and piano. In addition to my education, I also have plenty of teaching experience (24 years). Despite this however, I am still learning, and I am always open to new methods and enjoy exchanging experiences and ideas with other professionals.
Currently, I provide an accompaniment for students at Radford University, Virginia. I am also a pianist and conductor at Wesleyan United Methodist Church in Christiansburg, Virginia
I know that learning to play an instrument it is not easy, but working collaboratively in a great student-teacher relationship, while enjoying the beauty of classical and modern music, can make this process pleasing and successful. I use all of my experience, knowledge, and love of music when teaching my students, and I believe that anybody can learn to play an instrument; no matter how old and regardless of natural musical ability.
In addition, I believe that every intelligent and educated person has to have at least one musical instrument in his or her life, because being in the world of music and having the opportunity to study music in depth is a gift to human history, and it is one of life’s greatest experiences.
Piano Lessons are $25 for a half hour and $45 for one hour.
